Allow me introduce myself.  My name is Donna Askew and I am the founder of Donna’s Dog Walks. I am a 43 years young wife, mum and nanna born and bread in Rossendale Lancashire. You can probably guess with the nature of my company that I am a lover of the great outdoors and animals.  All my life I have lived around and loved dogs and horses, currently I own a horse named Sonny and live with two barking mad Border Terriers named Ernie and Elsie.

 

My working life has been spent predominantly in the Hairdressing industry. For 27 years I strived to give everything I could, do everything I could and see everything possible within that industry.

At the Age of 18 I became a self-employed Stylist, then in 2008 in the recession I opened my very own salon. It was in my first year of business that I was head hunted by a global hair brand that asked me to travel the UK and Europe to educate other salon owners and hair stylists.

In 2019 I closed the salon doors and took on a full time educators position with the brand and the distribution company.  I have been fortunate to traveled the world and meet some amazing people through my work. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to end my career, it was a very tough decision but I knew I had to put my family first.

As one door closes another door opens!

 

Due to my busy career I had to use the service provided by a dog walker.  It was a necessary service that I could not do without just like a childminding service for my children, it allowed me to work every day with peace of mind knowing my pooches needs were taken care of.  I formed two lovely relationships with my dog walkers over the years. Those relationships were not to dissimilar to the relationships I formed with my hair clients.

 

My skills have always centred around providing a high level, bespoke customer service for clients.  Today I apply those skills to my dog walking business.  I have created a five star service that forms lasting professional relationships with like minded dog lovers and their beloved pets."
